VISUAL NOTES

Two photographs, two perspectives.

A close-up and a picture from the stands can invite very different observations.

01

Look at what is actually shown

A close-up can make a collar or label easy to see. A wider photograph can place the colours beside other shirts and the surrounding crowd. Name the perspective before drawing a comparison.

02

Keep captions modest

A source image can provide a visual reference without answering every question about a shirt. The captions in this archive distinguish detail references from wider photographs where possible.

03

Share an observation

Try one simple sentence: what can you see, and what would you like to look at more closely? That is enough to start a thoughtful exchange.
